Fold

Fold is a series that explores the diverse concepts of folding, merging them into an abstract, generative long-form work. This project demonstrates Rudxane's innovative approach to generative art and his early adoption of blockchain technologies in the art world.

The series draws inspiration from various sources, including the natural undulations of sediment in the Earth's crust and the human act of origami. Fold explores the structural and organizational power of folds while also demonstrating how they can dramatically distort and redefine shapes on the canvas. The work is heavily influenced by op art greats like Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely, focusing on the perceptual aspects of art resulting from the illusion of movement and color relationships.

While the collection is generative, the release featured 10 pre-curated pieces, with curation contributions from prominent members of the broader NFT art community, including Bright Opportunities DAO by Bright Moments, Flamingo DAO, Fingerprints DAO, Tender, and Proof Collective.
